Cokaliong Shipping Lines Inc. turns 30?

MANILA, Philippines — Cebu-based Cokaliong Shipping Lines Inc. (CSLI) celebrated its 30th anniversary with a big party last Sunday at the Santa Maria Grand Ballroom of Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu.?

In attendance were government leaders from Cebu City and key areas of the Visayas and Mindanao serviced by the company’s fleet, joining CSLI’s business partners, suppliers, service providers and members of the media, including STAR president and CEO Miguel Belmonte.?

Guest speakers were Sen. Grace Poe and Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella, who both extolled the fast growth of CSLI and the united efforts of the Cokaliong family.?

CSLI, which started with only one vessel in 1989, now has 14, with another one coming in a few weeks, as announced by CSLI founder, CEO and COO Chester Cokaliong at the anniversary party.?

CSLI has since received various awards for sea safety, customer service, business management, corporate outreach initiatives and others, adopting as its 30th anniversary tagline: “Sure. Safe. Secure.”
