Chinese vice premier tackles infra projects with Philippine execs

MANILA, Philippines – Visiting Chinese Vice Premier Hu Chunhua met with Philippine officials to discuss the fast-tracking of the implementation of key infrastructure projects with Chinese financing, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said yesterday.

Hu arrived in Manila on Tuesday for a three-day visit. He was welcomed by Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr., DFA-Asian and Pacific Affairs Assistant Secretary Meynardo Montealegre and Finance Undersecretary Mark Dennis Joven.

Hu is in charge of matters concerning agriculture, water resources, commerce and tourism. 

Hu is set to meet President Duterte and the economic managers to discuss matters relating to trade, investment, tourism and agriculture.
