LPA to bring scattered rain over Luzon
MANILA, Philippines — A low-pressure area spotted off Baler in Aurora will bring scattered rainshowers in parts of Luzon, the state weather bureau announced yesterday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the weather system was estimated at 710 kilometers east of Baler.
Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Camarines provinces, Aurora, Quezon and Catanduanes will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought by localized thunderstorms.
The state weather bureau warned the public of possible flash floods and landslides due to occasional heavy rains or during severe thunderstorms.
The PAGASA bulletin noted that coastal waters in Luzon will be moderate to rough. The Visayas and Mindanao will have slight to moderate coastal waters.
