CAMP OLIVAS, Philippines —  A British pilot died when his two-seater plane crashed in barangay Lapaz Turo, Arayat, Pampanga yesterday.

Police Col. Rhoderick Armamento, Central Luzon deputy regional director for operations, said Mark Hogget, 55, a British national and resident of Camella Homes in Tarlac City, was flying his plane around Arayat town when it suddenly descended.

The plane then crashed, resulting in his death, Armamento said.

The plane was a silver ultra plane owned by the Angeles Flying Club.
