LPA spotted  off Zambo Sur
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the low-pressure area was located 260 kilometers north-northwest of Zamboanga City.

MANILA, Philippines — A low-pressure area was spotted off Zamboanga del Sur yesterday morning, state weather forecasters reported.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the low-pressure area was located 260 kilometers north-northwest of Zamboanga City.

Meno Mendoza of PAGASA said the weather system would bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Western Visayas, Caraga Region, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao and Zamboanga peninsula.

The state weather bureau warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.?Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers.

The coastal waters in Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao will be slight to  moderate.
