Comelec to proclaim at least 45 party-list groups
MANILA, Philippines — At least 45 party-list groups are assured of seats in the House of Representatives, Commission on Elections spokesperson James Jimenez said Wednesday.
Jimenez, however, noted that few more organizations could snag seats as the poll body continues finalizing the list.
“We now have 45 party-lists that we know will be proclaimed and a couple more that might be added to that list subject to the computations to be finalized,” he said in a press briefing Wednesday afternoon.
Among the party-list organizations assured to get seats in the lower house are:
- ACT-CIS
- BAYAN MUNA
- AKO BICOL
- CIBAC
- ANG PROBINSYANO
- 1PACMAN
- MARINO
- PROBINSYANO AKO
- SENIOR CITIZENS
- MAGSASAKA
Jimenez said the proclamation of winning party-list groups will push through Wednesday evening.
A total of 134 party-lists vied for seats at the lower house in the May midterm polls.
