MANILA, Philippines — Mindanao has cemented its support for former special assistant to the president Christopher “Bong” Go and other senatorial candidates of the Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) as they held a rally in Gingoog City in Misamis Oriental on Friday.

After a motorcade in Gingoog, Go headed to the HNP rally and said that Misamis Oriental and the entire Mindanao would soon enjoy the benefits not only of the infrastructure projects under the “Build, Build, Build” program of President Duterte but also from other programs of the administration.

He cited projects like the Cagayan de Oro Coastal Road, a 12.77-kilometer road meant to decongest traffic in the area that is expected to be completed this year.

Go also noted the expansion of the Laguindingan International Airport.

He cited the P14.6-billion expansion and construction of a 102-kilometer railway connecting Tagum, Davao and Digos cities that will be completed in the coming years.

Meanwhile, Go thanked the people of Gingoog and Misamis Oriental for their warm welcome as a huge number of people attended the rally. Hundreds of supporters also gathered in the streets where Go’s motorcade passed.

Go assured them that he is committed to support the programs of President Duterte, particularly the all-out campaign against illegal drugs, criminality and corruption.

Taking the opportunity to explain his plans for the Senate, Go said among his top priorities are his advocacy to improve the delivery of health services in the country.
