Metrobank Foundation cites AFP efforts
MANILA, Philippines — Metrobank Foundation Inc. cited the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) last Thursday as its partner for peace and making lives better for those who have less in life.
AFP chief Gen. Benjamin Madrigal Jr., received the Kapit-Bisig Partner in Empowerment, Advocacy and Commitment to Excellence (PEACE) trophy from the board members of Metrobank Foundation during its 40th anniversary celebration at Le Pavilion in Pasay City.

The foundation also recognized with its Award for Continuing Excellence and Services (ACES) persons who set a worthy example for Filipinos.
This year’s ACES awardees include former AFP chief, retired Gen. Carlito Galvez, who is now the peace adviser of President Duterte.
Meanwhile, in coordination with TV5’s Alagang Kapatid Foundation Inc., the SM Foundation donated 190 baby strollers to women Marines for their dedication to the service and motherhood.
Capt. Felix Serapio, Marine Corps public affairs office chief, commended the leadership of the 7th Marine Brigade Reserve led by Brig. Gen. Rodylyn Manzano for the project designed for mothers in the active service.
