No work for government offices on December 26
MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang Palace announced on Friday the suspension of work in government offices on December 26.
"In order to give the employees of the government full opportunity to celebrate the holidays with their families and loved ones," Memorandum Circular No. 55 read.
The date follows the Christmas Day holiday. Work suspension of government offices on January 2 was already announced on Monday.
These include government-owned or controlled corporations, government financial institutions, state universities and colleges, local government units and other agencies.
The Supreme Court also announced earlier suspension of work in courts on the same dates.
The memo was signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea. — Ryan Macasero
