MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Leni Robredo’s trust rating remained “good” in the third quarter of the year despite dropping by two percentage points, the Social Weather Stations (SWS) said in its recent survey.

The survey found 59 percent of adult Filipinos saying they have “much trust” in the Vice President and 21 percent saying they have “little trust” in her, resulting in a net trust rating of +38.

SWS said one in five Filipinos or 20 percent could not say whether or not they trust Robredo.

Robredo’s September trust rating was lower than her June score of +40 (57 percent much trust, 17 percent little trust).

The poll was conducted from Sept. 15 to 23, using face-to-face interviews of 1,500 adults, 18 years old and above, nationwide.

It has sampling error margins of plus or minus three percentage points for national percentages.

Robredo’s net trust rose by one grade from moderate +28 (51 percent much trust, 24 percent little trust) to good +42 (62 percent much trust, 20 percent little trust) in Mindanao.

It increased by two points although it remained moderate in Metro Manila, from +22 (48 percent much trust, 26 percent little trust) in June to +24 (50 percent much trust, 26 percent little trust) in September.

However, it fell from very good +51 (66 percent much trust, 15 percent little trust) to good +34 (57 percent much trust, 23 percent little trust) in the Visayas.

It also dropped by five points but stayed in good territory in balance Luzon (areas in Luzon outside Mega Manila), from +47 (60 percent much trust, 13 percent little trust) to +42 (61 percent much trust, 19 percent little trust).

The Vice President’s net trust rating remained good +37 among high school graduates, from June (57 percent much trust, 20 percent little trust) to September (58 percent much trust, 21 percent little trust).

It also remained good among elementary graduates, hardly moving from +43 (58 percent much trust, 15 percent little trust) in June to +42 (62 percent much trust, 20 percent little trust) in September.

It went down four points but stayed in moderate category among college graduates, from +27 (49 percent much trust, 22 percent little trust) in June to +23 (50 percent much trust, 27 percent little trust) in September.
