MANILA, Philippines — Trust with Vice President Leni Robredo remained “good” although there has been a slight decline in her rating, results of a Social Weather Stations survey suggests

Fifty-nine percent of adult Filipinos said they have “much trust” in Robredo. Twenty-one percent said they have “little trust” in the vice president, while the remaining 20 percent were undecided.

Despite being down by two points from +40 in June, Robredo’s net trust rating remained “good” in the third quarter of the year.

SWS explained that the two-point decrease in the overall net trust rating was attributed to the declines in Visayas and Balance Luzon, offsetting the increases in Mindanao and Metro Manila.

Robredo’s net trust went up to “good” +42 from “moderate” +28 in Mindanao. It stayed “moderate” in Metro Manila at +24 and “good” in Balance Luzon, although down by five points to +42 in September.

But the vice president’s net trust fell from “very good” +51 to “good” +34 in Visayas during the third quarter.

She retained “good” net trust rating among high school graduates and elementary graduates at +37 and +42, respectively.

Robredo’s net trust rating was at “moderate” +23 among college graduates and “good” +43 among non-elementary graduates.

A separate SWS survey found out that more than half (57 percent) of Filipinos are satisfied with the performance of Robredo.

The poll was conducted from September 15-23, weeks after President Rodrigo Duterte said the country would be better off with a dictator than a leader like Robredo.

The pollster interviewed 1,500 adults. The survey has sampling error margins of ±3 percent for national percentages, ±4 percent for Balance Luzon, and ±6 percent each for Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao.
