113 bettors come close to winning P1 billion 6/58 Ultra Lotto jackpot

MANILA, Philippines — Some 113 bettors of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) online lottery game Ultra Lotto 6/58 won the consolation prize of P158,760 each for getting five digits of the six-digit winning combination in Tuesday night’s draw.

The jackpot of the Ultra Lotto draw is climbing further to an estimated P1.070 billion for the next draw on Friday night.

The winning number combination in the draw was 12-16-46-03-38-36 with a jackpot of P1,026,264,340.

The Ultra Lotto 6/58 was last won on Feb. 16 when two bettors – one having bought the winning ticket in Calamba City in Laguna while the other from an outlet in Bustos, Bulacan – shared the P331.9-million jackpot.

The 6/58 Ultra Lotto game is drawn every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

A congressman has given unsolicited advice to the PCSO to launch new lotto draws.

Parañaque Rep. Gus Tambunting, chairman of the committee on games and amusement, said that worthy of consideration is the creation of other bets “such as 6/58–A, 6/58–B… to give bettors more chances of winning with just one ticket.”

“This could possibly make things more exciting for everyone. I am looking forward to all the good things the PCSO can do with the money they will earn from these additional funds,” Tambunting said. – With Delon Porcalla
