Ompong fund drive: P400,000

MANILA, Philippines — Operation Damayan, The Philippine STAR’s social arm, yesterday received additional donations from kindhearted readers seeking to reach out to families in typhoon-hit areas in Northern Luzon. 

With yesterday’s donations from 11 new donors, Damayan’s Ompong fund drive has raised P400,000.

Among yesterday’s donations were P60,000 from an anonymous donor; P30,000 from MGB; P5,000 from Marielle Denise Lim and Camille Grace Lim; along with other anonymous contributions.

Donors are requested to email their deposit slip for acknowledgment. The STAR’s Operation Damayan welcomes donations in cash, which may be deposited to Philstar Daily Inc./Operation Damayan Metrobank Savings Account No. 151-7-15152422-9. Donations of food, clothing and other basic essentials are also welcome. These may be delivered to The Philippine STAR’s office at 202 Roberto Oca corner Railroad Sts., Port Area, Manila.
