Ompong fund drive: P235,000

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine STAR donated an additional P100,000 to the ongoing fund-raising drive of its social arm, Operation Damayan, to assist in relief efforts for families affected by Typhoon Ompong last Saturday. The fund drive now totals P235,000 following earlier donations totalling P135,000, and P100,000 from The Philippine STAR.

Cash donations may be deposited to Philstar Daily Inc./Operation Damayan Metrobank Savings Account No. 151-7-15152422-9. Donations of food, clothing and other basic essentials, which may be delivered to The Philippine STAR’s office at 202 Roberto Oca corner Railroad Sts., Port Area, Manila, are also welcome.
