MANILA, Philippines — Heritage policy advocate Ivan Henares yesterday clarified that he is no longer a member of the Nayong Pilipino Foundation (NPF) board.

Citing the NPF’s official website, The STAR reported that the foundation’s board is composed of Grace Panagsagan, Danny Camerino, Ivan Henares, Mila Ladrido and Ray Salvosa.

The website, however, is not updated and contains names of individuals no longer connected with the foundation.

The STAR asked Malacañang to provide the names of the dismissed officials but the list was not yet available as of press time.

Henares said he, Gabby Lopez, Paulo Alcazaren and JQ Quesada have long been replaced by appointees of Duterte.

“The previous board had fantastic plans for a Nayong Pilipino cultural park that would truly be a showcase of Filipino culture. It was a NEDA-approved PPP,” Henares posted on Facebook, referring to the National Economic and Development Authority and public-private partnership project.

“Unfortunately, the project was junked by the sacked board and replaced with NayonLanding, a Chinese-run casino,” he added.

Henares called for the immediate cancellation of the casino deal and the restoration of the PPP project planned by the previous board.

“Nayong Pilipino was, is and should always be a showcase of Filipino culture,” he said.
