Chiz, Heart lose second baby

MANILA, Philippines — Barely three weeks after Sen. Chiz Escudero and wife Heart Evangelista announced that they were expecting their first child, Heart revealed on social media that she lost one of the twins.

Yesterday, the couple also lost the second one. Already three months into her pregnancy, Heart was supposed to give birth in November. The twins could have been Chiz’s second, the first being with his ex-wife Christine Flores.

“It was embryonic demise,” Chiz told The STAR, quoting their doctor. “He said that it happens to one out of five first pregnancies.”
