MANILA, Philippines — Warm weather will prevail in Metro Manila in the coming days although it is not yet summer, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said yesterday.

PAGASA weather forecaster Lorie de la Cruz said humid weather would be felt as the northeast monsoon started to dissipate.

“The effects of the northeast monsoon can only be felt in Northern Luzon. We expect the northeast monsoon to end by March or early April,” De la Cruz said.

Meanwhile, a low-pressure area is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility today but there is small chance that it will develop into a tropical depression.

It was spotted 200 kilometers east of Mindanao yesterday, according to PAGASA.

Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers.

Coastal waters in Northern Luzon will be moderate to strong.
