DAVAO CITY, Philippines — President Duterte and his eldest son, former Davao vice mayor Paolo Duterte, were no-show at the debut of controversial presidential granddaughter Isabelle Duterte.

Isabelle had a lavish birthday party at the Rigodon Ballroom of The Peninsula Manila on Friday night after drawing flak for her pre-debut photo shoot at Malacañang, the cause of her recent public spat with her father Paolo.

Isabelle wore a stunning regal blue gown with Swarovski crystals created by Dubai-based designer Michael Cinco.

The menu for the party included seared jumbo lump crab cake, wild mushroom bisque, angel hair aglio olio, smoked and cured lamb rack and classic napoleon for dessert.

The invitation to Isabelle’s debut was also the talk-of-the-town as it featured an LED video featuring her controversial pre-debut photos taken at the Palace and in Sydney, Australia.

As early as Thursday evening, the President returned to Davao City for the weekend.

Paolo, on  the other hand, reportedly just stayed in Davao City on Friday.

Isabelle’s mother Lovelie Sangkola Sumera and her brother Omar were present at her lavish birthday party.

Omar represented Paolo in the grand debut, dubbed “Isabelle, A Decade and Eight.”

Also present were actor Philip Salvador, beauty and wellness couple Manny and Pie Calayan, and other celebrities.

Annabelle Rama, who was supposed to be Isabelle’s manager in her budding showbiz career, was not seen at the party.
