DAVAO CITY , Philippines — President Duterte yesterday said he was long done with ratings after posting a winning margin of six million votes over his opponent in the May 2016 presidential polls.
“I am done with ratings when I had a margin of six million votes in the last elections. That was my rating,” the President said during the celebration of the Masskara Festival last night in Bacolod City.
“I do not care if my ratings go up or down. I do not care at all,” he said.
The Social Weather Stations and Pulse Asia noted a decline in their recent survey results for the President although the ratings are still considered “very good” for the performance of a public official.
Duterte said he has one thing in mind and that is to serve the Filipino people.
What is important is he does his work as the highest official of the land, he said.
Duterte said that his mouth may cuss or curse a lot but that’s it.
“After ako magmura, wala na (After cursing, nothing follows),” he said.
