Duterte takes commercial flight to Davao City
MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday took a commercial flight from Manila to Davao City.
The president traveled home in an ordinary commercial flight of the Philippine Air Lines.
According to the official Twitter account of the Office of the President, Duterte went home to Davao City to celebrate the Hari Raya Festival following the conclusion of Ramadan.
Despite security risks, the president pushed through with his flight home.
Presidential son and Davao City Mayor Paolo Duterte earlier claimed that the city received threats from the Islamic State terror organization.
