Erap says ‘drunkard’ criticisms on Poe a 'black prop'

MANILA, Philippines – Manila Mayor and former president Joseph “Erap” Estrada defended his goddaughter Sen. Grace Poe over “alcoholic” allegations and called it a form of black propaganda.

“That's black propaganda. I've seen Grace, I know her since (she was) small. Hindi ganun 'yon. Social drinking, what's wrong with that?” Estrada said at the reunion of Sampaguita Pictures.

Estrada said “drunkard” allegations on Poe are only coming out since she is a prospective presidential candidate with high survey ratings for the 2016 elections.

Poe earlier also denied these alcoholic allegations admitting she’s drinking but stressed that she’s not a drunkard.

The senator was also accused of abusing her house helper and undergoing rehab due to drug addiction, which she also denied.

“Alam mo nalulungkot ako doon, nambubugbog daw, lasenggo, nagre-rehab, lahat na po iyan tinatapon nila. May mga lalabas daw. Alam niyo pag nasa panig ng katotohanan hindi naman  po ako natatakot diyan, nalulungkot lang,” Poe said.

“Kung umiinom man, sa party, San Miguel Beer or white wine, hindi naman siguro lasenggo 'yun at hindi po ako nagpa-rehab,” she added.

Poe appealed to her critics to stop bullying as she considers allegations being thrown at her as a form of bullying.
