LIVE updates: VP Binay's speech on corruption allegations

MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Jejomar Binay is set to deliver a speech Thursday, 2 p.m. to address allegations of corruption stemming from his term as mayor of Makati City.

Binay said he is prepared to explain his side in the controversy, but maintains he will not attend the Senate Blue Ribbon subcommittee hearing probing the allegedly overpriced Makati City Hall II parking building project.
