Last July 30, Magnolia Dari Creme released its collaboration with singer and songwriter Barbie Almalbis through a beautiful rendition of the classic song, "Umagang Kay Ganda," whose music video aimed to give support and honor to our brave frontliners, just in time when they appealed for their two weeks of time-out.

Barbie shared that the power of music expressed in songs like "Umagang Kay Ganda" has been a great source of joy and comfort, especially during the lockdown and according to her, "It has helped ease our anxiety, encouraged us towards faith, and given us comfort and pockets of happiness.”

Magnolia Dari Creme hopes to send a beautiful reminder of the importance of our families and communities as we embrace new realities through the song, which is now available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and iTunes.

"1:45AM" is the new single from No Rome, featuring Bearface and the latest instalment in a series of collaborative tracks from the Filipino alt-pop star, which to date has included singles with Beabadoobee & Jay Som ("Hurry Home") and Dijon ("Trust 3000").

Featuring co-production from long-time collaborator George Daniel of The 1975 and legendary UK Garage producer MJ Cole, the single is another example of No Rome’s ability to seamlessly blend genres, working with an impressive variety of collaborators, whilst always retaining his own unique sound and identity.

With over 150 million streams globally to his name and support from Vogue (who tipped No Rome as their No.1 artist to watch out for in 2020), The Face, High Snobiety, NME, The Guardian, The Fader and Paper Mag to name a few, No Rome is consistently proving that he is one of the most exciting, versatile and talented young artists around.

Globe is teaming up with 88rising, the pioneering music and media collective synonymous with elevating Asian talent from East to West, to launch its first-ever localized label Paradise Rising. 88rising is a global name in the creative music industry for bringing Asian artists, such as Rich Brian, NIKI, Joji and Higher Brothers, to Western audiences.

“We are thrilled and excited about this opportunity to put Filipino music on the map and introduce our own brand of Filipino artists,” says Globe President and Chief Executive Officer Ernest Cu. “We take pride in our Filipino music, and we are honored to do our part in further unlocking the potential of Asian music in the global music industry by partnering with 88rising to recreate the local music scene with some of the best rising talents.”

Launched last month, Paradise Rising will serve as a platform to establish a presence for Filipino artists in the West and globally through music distribution, music rights management and artists development. To commemorate its launch, the label released its first mixtape “semilucent” to digital retailers and streaming services last July 31. The initial project aims to reinforce the ethos of the label—bringing together a fusion of talented emerging Asian artists to the forefront through music. Lending their voices to the album are other well-known local artists of Filipino roots: Kiana V (Pop/R&B), Massiah (Hiphop/R&B), Jason Dhakal (R&B/Soul), Leila Alcasid (Pop) and Fern. (Indie Pop). Fans can expect more song releases, amplified by promotional events, exciting interviews, digital content and music video exclusives.
