Philippine quakes
A magnitude 5.1 earthquake hits waters off Balut Island in Sarangani, Davao Occidental, on Saturday, November 5, at 03:42p.m, according to Phivolcs.
A magnitude 5.4 earthquake struck Batanes Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology says.
Phivolcs says the quake, which occurred at around 9:24 a.m., had a depth of 5 kilometers.

A 5.4 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Davao Occidental Sunday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology says.
Phivolcs adds there was no reported damage from the quake and no aftershocks are expected.
The tremor occurred at around 4:10 p.m. at 243 kilometers southeast of Sarangani, Davao Occidental. It is tectonic in origin, Phivolcs says.

The tremor occurred at 9:07 a.m. Sunday.
Phivolcs trace the epicenter of the quake at 175 kilometers south east of Sarangani, Davao Occidental. It has a depth of focus of 33 kilometers.
No aftershock is expected.
