Billboard operator Globaltronics called the incident in Makati City a "malicious attack" and assured the city government that they will cooperate with the investigation into the incident.

"Our company, being the leader in digital outdoor technology, would like to continually reassure all its advertisers and stakeholders amidst this momentary issue.

"As category stewards, the company concurrently sees this case as an opportunity to commit itself and be at the forefront of the drive against cybercrime," Globaltronics said in a statement.

Makati Mayor Abby Binay ordered the operator of a digital billboard on Makati Avenue to cease and desist from operations after the airing of pornographic material on Tuesday afternoon. The mayor also ordered an investigation into the incident.
