Communism has killed more people than COVID-19

If there was any hesitation on my part not to support or vote for Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte in the 2016 presidential elections, it was due to his close affinity with the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP). Until a friend of mine, Michael Dino, who is now the assistant secretary of the Office of the President in the Visayas (OPAV) talked to me and told me that if there was a chance to get peace with the Communists only Duterte among the presidentiables can make it because of his closeness to the communists. Add the fact that he was the only Cebuano-speaking candidate, I then supported Duterte and the rest is history!

Well, as I wrote last Tuesday that the President just signed the Anti-Terror Law, I supported him for making that move. Then yesterday I read a STAR report that “President Rodrigo Duterte, in a pre-recorded video aired early Wednesday, claimed he spent most of his days as president trying to connect to communists to arrive at a peaceful solution but to no avail.” Then the President added this statement, “There is a time to be friendly and a time to be firm and submitted that the New People’s Army (NPA) is the number one threat to the country.”

Indeed, if anyone should be scared of the Anti-Terror Law, it should be those people whose ideology is to turn the Philippines from a democratic republic and into a communist state. Then of course, Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque sort of rephrased the President’s statement that COVID-19 was a greater threat to our nation than the NPA. I beg to disagree with Sec. Roque. To date, there are only 1,300 deaths in the nearly four months of COVID-19, while the five-decade communist insurgency has killed more Filipinos.

You need to educate yourself about what the communists have done since Karl Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Mao Zedong and Kim Il Sung came into power. Go check it out, that communism has killed more than a hundred million since the Bolshevik Revolution started by killing the Romanov royal family. I dare say that communism has killed more people than COVID-19.

This is why Josef Stalin’s favorite quote was, “The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of millions is a statistic.” The various communist regimes have killed more of its own people than World Wars I and 2, the Vietnam War, the Korean War and the Civil War. This is the very reason why we Filipinos would never allow the Philippines to turn into a communist state despite the fact that CPP chairman Jose Maria (Joma) Sison has been fighting the government for 50 years now.

Look at what is happening in America in the past month after the killing of George Floyd by a policeman in Minneapolis. Americans protested to the point that this peaceful protest turned into violence organized by the group called Black Lives Matter (BLM). They went as far as looting stores, destroying shops, defunding the police, toppling down statues of famous Confederate Generals, they even tried to destroy monuments of presidents George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, all because they owned slaves during their time. Today, even black Americans have turned against BLM because many realized that the founder of BLM is an avowed Marxist!

Apparently many American youth have been taught in school by their professors and teachers who believe in Marxist ideology… that I saw one white American student with a big smile holding a paper with the declaration “I want communism because I value a fair society.” How stupid many Americans have become… why don’t they go to North Korea and live there so they can live in a fair society! You can guess that this is due to a liberal socialist inspired Democratic party. How America has changed!

If you didn’t know, two major American cities led by Democratic Mayors are full of homeless people living on the streets. I saw many videos on YouTube on why San Francisco has a record number of 4,000 homeless people… and another video on Los Angeles with 7,000. Most of them are living on the sidewalks and many are drug dependents, yet these cities give them $600 per month to allow them to take illegal drugs, but no homes for them. This is why San Francisco or Los Angeles looks today like a 3rd world city.

So going back to our Anti-Terror Law, President Duterte, for the first time since signing the law, addressed the public saying that law-abiding citizens should not fear the Anti-Terrorism Law. The President assured the public, “Do not be afraid if you are not a terrorist. If you will not destroy the government, blow up the church, blow up public utilities, blow up just to derail, the nation.” Indeed, the CPP’s main objective is to disrupt the nation’s economy and hold the people jobless so they can be easy recruits.
