Enzo Razon's songs at the Leon Gallery
One full moon ago, talented artist and multimedia virtuoso Enzo Razon showcased a montage of intriguing and massive photographs of landscapes, vocal cords, throats and tongues accompanied by overlapping lyrics that resemble karaoke visuals in “Songs,” his second solo exhibit held at the renowned Leon Art Gallery International, palanggas. There were still pandemic restrictions at the time and the well-heeled guests cautiously observed safety protocols and social distancing.
Enzo is a Filipino artist known for his amazing unique and inventive works in video, photography and illustration. He studied Film and Visual media at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. He is also the creative director of Tarzeer Pictures, where he heads the execution of creative concepts and video projects. The budding artist is the only son of business tycoon Enrique K. Razon Jr.
Enzo marveled at the Filipino culture and passion for singing in “Karaoke.” He played with proportions and scale in his subjects that are extremely close-up and much bigger than actual size.
For the artist, the exhibit manifested the “declarative bigness” of singing passionately, and that larger-than-life feeling when a person sings freely, spontaneously, and unashamed.
I was so thrilled that the exhibit attracted an impressive crowd of collectors, personalities from the industries, influencers and art enthusiasts. Art fans and avid collectors were spotted examining Enzo’s works attentively, dahlings.
I can’t wait to see more of Enzo’s masterpieces. Enzo’s solo exhibit was staged by art impresario Derek Flores of DF Art Agency and auction king Jaime Ponce De Leon of Leon Gallery International. The exhibit was a culmination of all the impressive shows at the Leon Gallery International for 2021, as always, palanggas. Naturellement.
