ECHO PH bares powerhouse cast for MPL Season 9

MANILA, Philippines — Amid rumors about veteran players leaving their current teams, ECHO PH revealed a star-studded team on their Facebook page Tuesday afternoon. 

The esports organizations welcomed former Bren Esports Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno, the Finals MVP during the M2 World champion roster, as well as former Nexplay EVOS roamer Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera and former TNC player Frediemar “3MarTzy” Serafico.

The team also announced the return of two-time MPL champion Ashleymarco “Killuash” Cruz, who took a break from the professional league during Season 8.

"This is gonna be an epic season for us, much more action-packed than the last one. We're on a different vibe right now, and we can't wait to show everyone what we're planning behind the scenes," ECHO said in their post.

Joining the four are ECHO players Christian “Rafflesia” Fajura, Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales, Aaron “AaronQT” Lim, Rion Manalo “RK3” Kudo, Jankurt “KurTzy” Matira and Mark “Hadess” Lazaro.

Formerly known as Aura PH, ECHO ended the regular season MPL PH Season 8 with six wins and eight defeats. There were eventually eliminated by Smart Omega during the first round of playoffs, placing in fifth to sixth with RSG PH.
