Singaporean singer Iman Fandi releases new single after collab with KAIA, Andrea Brillantes

MANILA, Philippines — Singaporean singer Iman Fandi released her new single, “IT IS,” on August 21 across major digital music platforms.
The release came after Iman’s collaborations with artists from the Philippines. She recently teamed up with P-pop girl group KAIA and RAMONA, the musical alter ego of actress-turned-singer-songwriter Andrea Brillantes.
Iman met the Filipino artists in Singapore during the NBA Rising Stars Invitational. Their collaborations will be released on TikTok throughout August.
“IT IS” is a confident and playful song about knowing your worth and believing in yourself. It encourages women to recognize their value without needing to explain or prove themselves to others.
“This is something I have personally learned throughout my life,” Iman said. “While the song's message is rooted in confidence and self-possession, it also carries a playful nod to the people who always ask, ‘Is this song about me?’ The answer is part mystery, part mischief: if you think it is about you, maybe it is.”
The single comes after a busy year for Iman, who began 2026 as an independent artist after parting ways with Universal Music.
She performed at major events in Singapore, including Light to Night and Kallang Countdown, and made her halftime show debut at the AFC Asian Cup match between Singapore and Bangladesh.
The performance was especially meaningful for Iman, who is the daughter of Singapore football legend Fandi Ahmad.
Iman also performed “Giants” at this year’s National Day Parade, one of Singapore’s biggest annual celebrations, before a crowd of around 42,000 at the National Stadium.
She first performed “IT IS” at the reopening of Zouk Singapore in July. She is also set to perform at the Singapore Indoor Stadium later this month and will bring the song to students across Singapore through a school tour.
“IT IS” follows Iman’s 2026 singles “Tip Toes” and “Out Of My Mind.” The song is also part of her preparations for her upcoming debut independent EP, “Afterglow.”
