Maris Racal attends Berlinale as ‘Sunshine’ competes in film festival

MANILA, Philippines — Maris Racal fulfills her dream of attending a prestigious film festival as she is currently in Germany for the annual Berlinale, where her indie film “Sunshine” is in competition.
The “Incognito” star, who recently trended when she wore a two-piece in her escape scene in the show, has landed in Germany where the festival’s 75th edition will take place from February 13 to 23.
“This is crazy,” the actress wrote on Instagram.
“Sunshine” is among the competing films in the Generation 14 category of Berlinale. The category puts the spotlight on narratives that focus on children and young audiences.
"Sunshine" made its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last September where its three screeenings all sold out despite being at the tail-end of the festival.
The film stars Maris as the titular young rhythmic gymnast who dreams of joining the national team but she finds out that she was pregnant days before her tryout.
