MANILA, Philippines — Top K-pop group EXO made every fan swoon during its second visit to the country this week as the headliner of MBC Show Champion in Manila.

Loud cheers were heard inside the Mall of Asia Arena as members Xiumin, Suho, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai and Sehun showed off their impressive vocals and choreography.

EXO performed four songs from its fourth studio album “The War” and repackaged album “The Power of Music,” which were both released in 2017.

The night turned out to be memorable for Filipino EXO-Ls as they witnessed the group’s 70th performance of its hit track “Ko Ko Bop.”

The tropical-hued single featured catchy chorus and instrumental dance break. It has always been the group’s staple in every performance since its release last year.

EXO also performed B-side tracks “What U Do” and “Boomerang.”

They ended their stage with “Power”—the group’s most energetic song to date. The track, performed by EXO at the closing ceremony of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, speaks about how music breaks barriers and brings people together.

MBC Music Show Champion was presented by MBC+ together with Lumos E&M and All Access Production. — Video by Kristine Joy Patag, editing Kat Leandicho
