MANILA, Philippines — Ellen Adarna had a playful response to questions about the bundles of cash featured in her latest Instagram video.

The actress recently shared a clip of herself being playfully slapped with bundles of money while asking her followers to come up with the “most unhinged” caption for the post.

“May the most unhinged caption win,” Ellen wrote.

A netizen then joked about a possible “boyfriend reveal,” prompting the actress to clarify that she is not dating anyone.

“Wala akong boyfriend no! Pls lang,” Ellen replied.

She then revealed the real story behind the cash.

“Gagi monthly sustento ni (John Lloyd) sa anak niya,” Ellen said in Filipino, referring to the financial support she receives from her former partner, actor John Lloyd Cruz, for their son, Elias.

“Ginawa ko na lang playtime,” she added.

Ellen and John Lloyd have been co-parenting Elias since their relationship ended in 2019. The actress has previously spoken positively about the actor’s role as a father and provider.

In an earlier interview, Ellen recalled discussing Elias’ expenses with John Lloyd.

“When he asked me how much Elias needs, I gave him a breakdown of his basic needs, just his basic needs, and that's P10,000 max,” she said.

“But he insisted on doubling it,” she added.

Ellen and John Lloyd welcomed Elias in 2018. Despite no longer being together, the former couple have continued to co-parent their son.
