MANILA, Philippines — ABS-CBN's newest teleserye "FPJ's Batang Quiapo" apologized to the Muslim community after they were hurt about a scene in the series.

In a statement released on Thursday, the Coco Martin series said they have no intention to malign Muslims in the series.

The show promised to be more sensitive next time.

"Nangangako rin kaming maging sensitibo sa paghahatid namin ng kwento ni Tanggol at ng kanyang komunidad sa teleserye," it said.

Muslims asked their community to boycott the series.
