Isko Moreno pays tribute to German Moreno on COC filing date
MANILA, Philippines — Manila Mayor and actor Isko Moreno paid tribute to the late actor German "Kuya Germs" Moreno by filing his certificate of candidacy for presidency on the late TV host's birthday.
October 4 is also the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, where Isko's mother got his name (his real name is Francisco Domagoso).
Before going to the Commission on Elections office, Isko and his vice presidential candidate Dr. WIllie Ong went to the Sto. Nino Church in Moriones, Tondo.
Isko said that the church is where he and his mother used to go when he was still living in the slums of Tondo.
The Manila mayor earlier vowed to be a "healing president" who could work with different political parties for the good of the country.
