San Juan teens urged to sign up for COVID-19 jabs

MANILA, Philippines — Minors in San Juan aged 12 to 17 can sign up online for their COVID-19 vaccine slots, Mayor Francis Zamora said yesterday.

The city government has opened its COVID-19 Vaccine Registration Portal for minors as it anticipates the approval of the national government for pediatric vaccination, Zamora said in his statement.

The registration would be open only for teenagers living in the city, he said.

Teenagers could scan the QR code posted in Zamora’s Facebook page or visit the website http://bit.ly/39Bi7ri.

In the online form, they would be required to give personal details like their complete name, birthday, age, gender, address and contact information like mobile number and email address.

The form also contains questions about the medical history of the respondent.

So far, Pateros and the cities of Makati, Caloocan, Manila and Taguig have opened their registration for COVID-19 vaccines for minors, while the Quezon City government declared it was preparing for the same procedure.
