MANILA, Philippines — After “Hello, Love, Goodbye” broke blockbuster records, Kapuso actor Alden Richards hoped that his mother network will allow him again to be a part of the movie sequel if it will push through.

In an interview with the media during the launch of his first fashion line with designer Avel Bacudio, Alden said there are lots of things to consider if they will have to do a sequel.

“When we first did the whole concept and approval of the movie, when we're planning that, maraming pinagpaalaman, maraming kinonsider and we're hoping for the part two pero siyempre we'll see kung saan dadalin 'to after this project kung magkakaroon pa rin ng story for the part two of 'Hello, Love, Goodbye.' But now we're just happy for the success of the movie,” Alden said.

As of August 23, his movie with Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina has grossed over P800 million worldwide.

Alden said he is happy with the movie's success, but above anything else, he said he is happy that the audience realized a deeper meaning on the movie and not just a love story of two OFW lovers.

“When we're doing it, ang gusto lang namin gawin ay to tell a story of two OFW strangers na eventually turn into lovers and then need to have choices in the end. Pero the audience, the people who have seen the film give a deeper meaning of the project, na more of a love story, it's a life story and it's really changing lives now,” Alden said.

The actor is now in South Korea to receive a recognition from the Seoul International Drama Awards.

“Second recognition ko ito so it goes to show na worth it 'yung hirap at pagod sa pagiging artista," Alden told GMA's Nelson Canlas in an interview before he left for South Korea.

Last 2018, Alden received a Silver Award from the New York Festival for his performance in “Alaala: A Martial Law Special.” — Videos by Kat Leandicho
