WATCH: Katarina Rodriguez gives advice to Miss World Philippines 2019 candidates

MANILA, Philippines — Following the recent official presentation of Miss World Philippines 2019 candidates in San Juan, Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez gave some pieces of advice to this year’s hopefuls.

“Focus on yourself. Don’t compare yourselves to other girls. I know that happens a lot in pageantry and it’s just a big distraction,” the Miss Intercontinental 2017 first runner-up said.

“Take care of your physical health. Sleep whenever you can. Workout whenever you can. And breathe a lot. And have fun, of course! It’s an experience,” added the finalist of modeling reality TV search “Asia’s Next Top Model.”

“Miss World Philippines is where I peaked, where I grew as a woman and it was one of my best experiences. So, good luck to all of you. I’m excited to see you all on coronation night!”

The 40 candidates will compete for Miss World Philippines, Reina Hispanoamericana, Miss Eco International and Miss Multinational titles at the coronation night on September 15 in Smart Araneta Coliseum. — Video by Erwin Cagadas Jr.
