In photos: Korina Sanchez, Mar Roxas’ twins get baptized
MANILA, Philippines — ABS-CBN news anchor Korina Sanchez-Roxas has recently shared photos of the baptism of her twins with politician Mar Roxas, Pepe and Pilar.
In a series of Instagram posts, Korina shared that the twins were Christened last August 1 with close family and friends in attendance.
“Sa wakas! The twins’ baptism! Took awhile although they were blessed three times prior. Tuwang tuwa kami,” Korina shared.
The priest was 45 minutes late, said the veteran journalist, but the twins patiently waited.
“But mas tuwang tuwa si Pepe en Pilar. They loooooved being outdoors. Himala. No crying AT ALL. Kahit mainit sa simbahan!”
The couple could have asked their high-profile celebrity and politician friends to serve as godparents for their twins, but according to Korina, they opted to go with their nephews and nieces.
“It was a quiet and simple event. Just immediate families in attendance. We wanted more ninongs and ninangs then realized we needed to choose guardians from the younger generation of our families. So here are most of the nephews and nieces from both sides.”
The proud mom shared that even when the twins received water over their heads, they were behaved, so she feels very proud of them.
“No incident. The kids love people. They super like being around a lot of new faces. So proud of them. Two new angels on earth.”
Korina and Mar tied the knot in October 2009. Early this year, they had their babies Pepe and Pilar through in-vitro fertilization via a surrogate mother in the US.
