MANILA, Philippines — "Eat Bulaga," the country's longest-running noontime show, is set to have a franchise show in Myanmar.

In its Twitter account, "Eat Bulaga" announced the news in time for its 40th anniversary this year.

"First Big Announcement: Magkakaroon na ng bagong Franchise ang Eat Bulaga! Magkakaroon na ng Eat Bulaga Myanmar!" it wrote.

Myanmar was not the first country to have the noontime show as a franchise as "Eat Bulaga" was also franchised by an Indonesian company.

The Indonesian “Eat Bulaga,” however, only lasted for two years.

Meanwhile, rival noontime show "It's Showtime" has also a franchise in Indonesia.
