MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya actress Maja Salvador does not want to be dragged in the controversies surrounding her ex-boyfriend Gerald Anderson.

Social media users have been speculating that Gerald's "Between Maybes" co-star Julia Barretto was the reason behind the cryptic post of the actor's girlfriend, Bea Alonzo, on her Instagram account. The posts allegedly allude to cheating.

Maja’s pictures from a haircare brand endorsement were part of different memes suggesting that Gerald is a playboy.

In an interview with the media during the launch of her upcoming primetime teleserye “The Killer Bride,” Maja said she does not want to be part of the controversy because she is happy now.

“Ayaw ko nang sumali. Masaya ako. Ayaw ko nang sumali, ayaw ko nang sumagot. (Ang) sa akin, kung pwede lang po, wala na ako d'yan,” Maja said.

She asked the public to let the people in the controversy heal because it is not easy to have a problem like that.

“Sana hayaan nating silang lahat mag-heal dahil hindi madali ang may pinagdadaanan, so 'wag na tayong sumabay, 'wag na nating gatungan kasi at the end of the day, lahat tayo tao na nasasaktan at marami tayong mga bagay na mas kailangan na asikasuhin na mas importante,” Maja said.

When asked about her love life now, Maja said: “Nasa happiest disposition na ako ng buhay ko.”

Maja admitted last March that she and then ex-boyfriend Rambo Nuñez are back together.
