Pia Wurtzbach shocked by Olivia Jordan’s ‘raped, molested’ revelations

MANILA, Philippines — Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has shared her views on Olivia Jordan’s revelation that she was molested and raped in her younger years.

Jordan, 2015 Miss USA and Miss Universe 2015 second runner-up, was Pia’s pageant rival that became her good friend.

In an interview with the media during recent opening of BlueWater Day Spa where she and boyfriend Marlon Stockinger are special guests, Pia said Olivia did not speak about the incident during the Miss Universe 2015 pageant. 

“Yung personal news na ni-share niya, I have no idea. She never really spoke about it during her pageant life. Hindi niya ever shinare ‘yan so talagang nakakagulat,” Pia said.  

Pia added: “You can never really know what a person’s problem is even though she looks elegant and happy.” 

“I realized na it can happen to everyone. It can happen to anybody. Someone like Olivia who I taught who grew up na parang perfect, mayroon pa palang gan’on. Hindi mo alam ‘yung pinagdadaanan ng mga tao all around you, na like you could be facing the most popular celebrity, sobrang ganda, parang walang problema, ‘yun pala meron din siyang pinagdaanan,” the actress and beauty queen expounded.  

The Filipina-German titleholder, however, refused to comment on the law Olivia was rallying against as she is not very aware about American laws.

“I’m not really 100 percent aware of the laws in the US. I know that her parents are originally from Oklahoma and she grew up in California, but this is an issue with the state of Alabama, so I don’t want to say kasi hindi ako 100 percent sure baka magkamali pa ‘ko,” Pia said. 

Pia and Marlon led the opening ceremony of BlueWater Day Spa in Ortigas Avenue, Pasig City. Started in 2005, the spa offers a wide array of pampering services that include facial treatments and unique massages like Manual Lymphatic Drainage and the Four-Hand Massage.
