WATCH: Is Catriona Gray willing to do ‘Darna’?

MANILA, Philippines — After Liza Soberano withdrew from doing Star Cinema’s revival of Mars Ravelo’s “Darna” due to an injured finger incurred while filming “Bagani,” the job is now open to anyone, including beauty queens like Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.

During her press launch as official Jolly Twirl endorser last Saturday, Catriona answered fans’ clamor for her to don the Filipina superhero’s costume, which is also red like the lava gown she wore during her coronation.

“Am I open to acting po? Yes, I’m open to any opportunity that comes my way,” Catriona asserted.

“Acting is a field that I don’t have any experience in, but I’m an eager learner and if an opportunity came to audition for a certain role, I would very much be open to it.”
