WATCH: Kathryn Bernardo shares Daniel Padilla’s reaction on movie with Alden Richards
MANILA, Philippines — Last March, film studio Star Cinema has announced that Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo and Kapuso actor Alden Richards will team up in a movie to be directed by blockbuster director Cathy Garcia-Molina and will be released this year.
In an exclusive interview with Philstar.com during the launch of her Generation Happy Skin Active makeup line last Saturday, Kathryn revealed her boyfriend Daniel Padilla’s reaction on her team-up with Alden.
“Yes, DJ is very supportive,” Kathryn said of Daniel.
According to her, it helped that Alden has worked with Daniel’s mom, Karla Estrada, when Karla was still a Kapuso.
“And si Alden, nakatulong kasi nakatrabaho n’ya si Tita Karla nung nasa-seven s’ya, so kilala n’ya ‘yung mga tao around me and he respects them.”
In a separate video interview, Kathryn said she is excited to work with Alden because he respects Daniel.
“Excited ako kasi nirerespect n’ya rin si DJ, saka inaalalayan n’ya rin ako, alam n’ya kasi na first time naming magkatrabaho. That’s very important. Happy ako!”
Garcia-Molina was also the director of the KathNiel film “The Hows of Us,” now reportedly the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time. — Video by Kat Leandicho
