‘Best birthday salubong:’ Dua Lipa surprises Anne Curtis with video greeting on birthday eve

MANILA, Philippines— A day before her birthday, actress Anne Curtis was surprised by British-Albanian singer-songwriter Dua Lipa with a video shoutout.

 Dua’s video greeting flashed on screen at a live episode of “It’s Showtime” last Saturday.

“Hey, Anne Curtis, I’m Dua Lipa. Looking forward to see you very soon,” Dua said.

Anne, who turned 34 on Sunday, was shocked by the surprise shoutout from her idol. She said it’s the “best birthday salubong ever.”

She took to Instagram to fangirl and gush over the video of Dua.

“Real Fantasy. I won’t stay quiet! I won’t stay quiet. MWAH! GUARANTEED YOU TOTALLY BLEW MY MIND @dualipa and I am DYING to SEE YOU perform again real soon! I have no words. (Obvs from my reaction) My fan girl heart is sooooooooo happy. Never in my wildest dreams,” Anne said.

Dua, who recently won as the Best New Artist at the 61st Grammy Awards,  last performed in the county in September 2018.

Anne was attended the same concert held at the Mall of Asia Arena.
