Ogie Diaz defends LizQuen's relationship reveal

MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya host and talent manager Ogie Diaz defended Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil after getting negative reactions about the love team’s recent admission that they have been officially together for more than two years. 

In a lengthy Facebook post on Monday, Ogie, the manager of Liza, protected the “Alone/Together” stars from social media users who accused the couple of using the issue to further promote their movie. 

"Bakit umamin? Ah, kasi may movie na ipino-promote? Makakatulong ba 'yung pag-amin nilang more than two years na sila para maging mapayapa ang Mindanao? So kung sila na? Bababa na ba ang presyo ng gasolina at bilihin? Tataas na ba ang minimum wage? Matatapos na ba ang tigdas outbreak?" Ogie said. 

The dzMM’s “OMJ” host admitted that no one can really please everybody as people have their own take on different issues.

“Dahil may ipino-promote, kaya umamin? So kung walang ipino-promote at umamin, ang kasunod nang mga hanash diyan ay, ‘Hindi kasi pinag-uusapan, kaya umamin?’ or ‘Bakit umamin eh wala namang ipino-promote na movie?’” he said. 

“So hindi mo talaga alam kung saan ka lulugar. Punta ka sa kanan o kaliwa, tiyak mahuhulog ka pa din. Dumedma ka, me sasabihin pa rin sila. So ngayong umamin ang LizQuen, me sinasabi pa din 'yung iba, hahahaha,” he added.
 
For Ogie, what’s important is almost everybody is happy that Liza and Enrique finally revealed the real score between them. 

“Basta ang mahalaga, happy ang karamihan, lalo na ang mga LizQuen fans. At in fairness, kinilig pa sila sa pag-amin na 'yon. At least, maraming napangiti ang loveteam, so sana good vibes na lang,” he said.
