Miss Universe Vietnam visits Philippines

MANILA, Philippines — Miss Universe Vietnam H'Hen Niê, who was one of the crowd favorites in the recently concluded Miss Universe competition, in the Philippines to visit her pageant coach Anjo Santos. 

On her Instagram account, the Miss Universe runner-up on Friday posted a video and photos of her arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. 

“Mabuhay Philippines ! Here we come ? I’m so happy to see my coach again, Anjo Santos. Thank you so much for your warm welcome, Philippines,” H’Hen said.

In another post, the beauty queen was seen eating a piece of "tuyo" which she described as her favorite meal. 

“This is ‘Cá Khô’, my hometown food and also ‘Tuyo’ in the Philippines. My favorite!! I can consume a whole bowl of rice with one of this fish,” she wrote in the caption. 

H'Hen's performance in Miss Universe gained her the admiration of Filipinos and led her to finish in the Top 5.

She is a member of Vietnam’s Rade ethnic minority, and is the global ambassador for Room To Read, a nonprofit organization that supports girls' education and literacy.
