MANILA, Philippines — Looking immaculate in her Herve Pierre plain white dress which she wore for the exclusive network and management contract-signing with GMA Artist Center (GMAAC), and the pocket interview afterwards last Dec. 13, Heart Evangelista was asked to comment on her viral Instagram video where she showed her #OOTD (Outfit of the Day) to buy corned beef at the grocery store. It resulted to numerous memes from social media-savvy people.

“I know, it’s so funny I didn’t expect that. Actually, it was just a joke,” Heart said, adding it was purely coincidental and not some sort of a promo for the corned beef brand that she endorses.

“You know what, that’s just my way of saying no matter where you go, no matter what you’re doing, no matter what it is you’re facing, at the end of the day and in the beginning of the day, you have to dress for yourself because you have to feel good for yourself. So that’s why it was a joke na ‘I’m going to the grocery, I’m wearing a gown…’ I feel good in a gown! Why not, di ba? So yun lang yung joke na yun but (it’s) cute na nag-e-effort sila. It just so happened that I was really going through… I’m on a major fitness routine and diet so andami kong naiisip na pagkain,” said Heart whose contract with GMA “has no specific number of years. Matagal so yun na yung remaining years of my showbiz career.”

Asked why she left Viva, Heart said her contract has ended.

“We’re actually very okay. You know, Viva understood my decision. It’s quite natural for me to go all the way with GMA because I’ve been with GMA for quite some time and during a time of my life when I really thought that nothing else would be there for me, GMA really helped me and gave me my dream roles and I think it’s right that after my contract with Viva, I moved to GMA,” she explained.

“We’ve been collaborating on a lot of stuff and they’ve been very supportive of what I’m doing outside so I’m very, very excited with what’s gonna happen for 2019. I will be doing StarStruck. I’ll be one of the judges and it’s my first time but I’m excited for that. I’m also planning for a telenovela and other things. We’ll be doing a lot of things also abroad so I’m just really… I wish I can say but it’s just my personal experience, when something really amazing is about to happen and you say it out loud, the bad spirits will take it away. So I’m just gonna do my own thing in my little corner of the world and I’m gonna work out, work hard and prepare for dreams that are about to come true.”

Also present during the contract-signing were GMA CEO lawyer Felipe Gozon, GMA EVP and CFO Felipe Yalong, GMA Films president Annette Gozon, GMA SVP for Entertainment Group Lilybeth Rasonable, GMA VP for Drama Productions Redgie Acuña-Magno, GMA VP for Business Development Department III Darling de Jesus Bodegon, GMA VP for Corporate Affairs and Communications Angel Javier Cruz, GMA VP for Business Development Department II Janine Piad-Nacar, GMA AVP for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, GMA AVP for Business Development Department II Bang Arespacochaga, senior program managers Redgynn Alba, Enri Calaycay, Cecille de Guzman, Mildred Natividad and senior talent manager Vic del Rosario.
