Tony Labrusca, Angel Aquino bare secrets to ‘glorious’ relationship
MANILA, Philippines — “Glorious” stars Tony Labrusca and Angel Aquino believe that when it comes to love, age is just a number.
In a recent press conference for their new movie now streaming on iWant, the onscreen couple shared their views and experience on May-December love affair.
“Honestly, these days, it’s really hard to find love. That’s why so many people don’t resort just boundaries of within your age. Halimbaw,a if they feel na hindi na sila nakaka-relate sa mga ka-age nila, pumupunta sila sa mas matanda,” Tony said.
Tony added he is open to being in a relationship with older women in the future as long as he is happy with the relationship.
“It’s all about really finding that connection with somebody and when you love somebody, you don’t think about their age. Most of the time, you don’t think about what they look, ‘di ba? For me, I’m definitely open-minded if one day the love of my life is gonna be a few years older than me, but I’ll be completely happy, so why do I say ‘no’?” he added.
For her part, Angel opened up on her past relationship with a younger guy.
“’Yung last is 11 years younger. Siguro at his age, mas matured siya than an early 30s guy, so medyo gets niya ko at gets ko rin siya. He was very respectful. In a relationship like that, pareho kayong may take away. You’re both learning from each other. Nag-work naman,” she said.
Tony and Angel agree that good sex is key to a long and lasting relationship.
“I believe that sex is important in a relationship, I honestly do. I think it’s important to respect one another, but if you think about it kasi, a lot of marriages and relationships fail, and one main problem is because they don’t have a good sex life. I think that’s God’s gift to a couple, so I think sex is important,” Tony said.
For Angel, sex should always be there in a relationship to fuel the fire.
“Oo naman. I think that sexual compatibility and ‘yung sexual energy niyo together is very important. Something should always be there in a relationship kahit na matagal na kayong magkasama, that sexual connection should always be alive,” she said.
“Glorious” has set the internet on fire after its trailer made the rounds online, having earned more than six million views in 24 hours.
The film also inspired many memes online. Tony said he enjoyed the memes on different social media sites.
“Masaya lang po ako na nagustuhan ng mga tao ‘yung trailer. Parang it really paid of na ‘yung art namin and ‘yung pinaghirapan namin and everything that we put into the film nagustuhan po talaga ng mga tao,” he said.
“Nakakatuwa po ‘yung mga memes. Hindi po ako nababastusan sa mga pinapalabas na meme or whatsoever. Masaya lang po ako at nagustuhan nila. Positive reaction po siya para sa akin. I’m just really happy people having fun with it,” he added.
