Kapamilya stars welcome Regine Velasquez
MANILA, Philippines — After announcing that “Asia’s Songbird” Regine Velasquez is now officially part of the “ASAP” in Sydney, Kapamilya celebrities expressed on social media how much they welcome the addition of Regine as new Kapamilya.
In an Instagram post, Regine announced that she will join the variety show entourage on October 20 at the ICC Sydney Theater.
“See you guys in Sydney #AsapinSydney,” she wrote.
ASAP mainstays Kim Chiu, Angeline Quinto, and KZ Tandingan commented on Regine’s post, expressing their approval and excitement.
“yazzzzz queen!!!!!” Kim commented, while KZ wrote: “YAAAAAAAAAS!!!!.”
A self-confessed Regine fan, Angeline said: “Magandang umaga po sa aming reyna. I love you idol.”
"Megastar" Sharon Cuneta also could not hide her excitement for the news as she posted the poster of Regine on her Instagram account.
“My Songbird and I now live in the same HOME!!!!! Woohoo!!!!! Welcome, my Regine!!!!!” Sharon wrote.
Recently, GMA Network Senior Vice President and Entertainment Group Head Lilybeth Rasonable released an official statement on Regine’s decision to leave the Kapuso network.
“After two decades, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid has officially said her goodbyes to the Kapuso Network. We understand her decision to join her husband and we wish her well as she pursues other opportunities outside GMA Network," the GMA executive said.
