MANILA, Philippines — After weeks of intense battle and eliminations, the Final 6 Clashers are now ready for their face-off tonight and tomorrow, Sept. 30 on GMA 7’s The Clash.

The Clashers are Anthony Rosaldo (Ang Matinik na Heartthrob ng Valenzuela); Garrett Bolden (Ang Tower of Power ng Olongapo); Golden Cañedo, (Ang Golden Voice ng Cebu); Jong Madaliday (Ang Trending R&B Star ng North Cotabato); Josh Adornado (Ang Cute Crooner ng Cagayan de Oro); and Mirriam Manalo (Ang Fierce Diva ng Pampanga). The new breed of promising Kapuso talents who were presented to the media performed live their respective numbers prior to the Q&A.

When asked how the contest has changed their lives, the Top 6 shared that they have become confident, their personalities have improved and learned how to deal with other people. They said they found the dance, stage performance and personality development workshops helpful.

The Clash co-host Joyce Pring (together with Andre Paras, assigned to do the backstage interviews) told the press, “We’ve already seen them during the process of getting ready for The Clash. The (workshops), I think, really improved their confidence. Just being in the competition is already a blessing as it is because not only are they given the platform to pursue their dream or show people what they’ve got, they’re also given the opportunity to grow as a performer, and it’s such an important thing. What I noticed also during our mall shows in Pangasinan and Bulacan over the weekend was ibang-iba na sila makisalamuha sa tao, pati yung (taking) pictures with the fans and how they performed onstage. Everything improved already, and I’m really proud of them.”

Seeing the panel of judges — Christian Bautista, Lani Misalucha and Ai-Ai delas Alas — having a hard time in determining the Top 6 at last weekend’s battles was evident that The Clashers were deadset on winning the first-ever title.

Christian, in an official statement, said that he wanted someone who can be an inspiration to other aspiring singers and who could compete vocally with the best singers in the country and even in the world. For Ai-Ai, she looks at someone’s combined distinct voice quality and charisma onstage. Lani, on the other hand, expects the finale to be a tough fight.

Meanwhile, tonight, the Top 6 Clashers will hurdle their ultimate challenge to reach the Final Battle where only five of them will be able to book their slots in the grand finals tomorrow.

The Clash champion will take home more than P4M worth of prizes including an exclusive management contract with GMA Network, P1M cash, a brand-new car and a Bria house-and-lot.
